Program Overview

The Executive Certificate in Food Service Operations is validated by the Center for Vocational Education, Institute of Hospitality Management Ireland The program is a Competency based professional program where participants who complete the program could further into the Executive Diploma offered by the Institute of Hospitality Management of the Institute collaborated Universities  

Program Objectives

  • Educate, enhance and develop youths , in Food Service Operations
  • Enable the participants to acquire broad overall knowledge of the fundamentals and practice of Food Service Operations

Program Modules

  1. Module 1: Principles of Food Service Management
  2. Module 2: Food & Beverage Management
  3. Module 3: Food & Beverage Service
  4. Module 4: Beverage

Module Hours: Each Module is 16 hours
Practical Hours: 24 hours per week
Program Methodology: Participative lecturers / discussions, Case Studies & Presentation

  1. Quizzes – 10%
  2. Final Examination – 30%
  3. Practical Assessment – 50%
  4. Assignments – 20%

Program Tutors

All Modules will be taught and facilitated by very experience Resource personnel who have gained considerable experience in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry.

Program Highlights

Upon Completion of the programs students could;

  1. Continue into Executive Diploma program
  2. IHMI Academy would seek 2 job interviews (Guaranteed Interview Sessions)
  3. Qualify for IHMI membership
